#7 We got a long climb before us (and that's good)

You know what really makes me stop enjoying doing all of this? Other people. Solution? I just have to eliminate every single one of them. Problem solved and everyone (me, there is literary no one else left) is happy.

But really, whenever I see someone's work with a title like "oh just a quick draw that I made with 2 colors on my phone using only my pinky finger, while I was hanging up-side down and being eaten alive by a ferocious ferret, don't be too harsh, I know, it's not perfect" and it's 20 times better than anything I can produce, no matter how hard I will try... I just don't want to do this anymore. We got so many amazing artists already, what can I achieve?

When thoughts like that appears, we often forget what really matters. It's not the goal, the glory, the podium, the laurel wreath on ours heads. It's the journey.

It's the journey, where we learn, grow, smile and cry. Where we make mistakes and miracles. Where we meet people and share ours journeys.

Without it, reaching your goal is pointless. You are going back to being that same old person you were before. You actually didn't accomplish anything.

So remember. You are not worse than someone! You are not behind or too slow! They have their journey and you have yours. You might learn from them, you might share your experiences and even walk together for some time. But it is yours and only yours! Enjoy it! Cry about it! Do whatever you want! It's your time to shine!

It's my first time working on 64x64 scale, and it was awesome and incredibly hard at the same time.

As you can see, I wanted to make mountains. The start is no different, place the shapes, fill them with color and decide what to do next.

Shapes are always imperfect, at the first try. Do not panic, just smooth them a little. Lines should be schematic, for example: one slope should be made only with 1 to the right, 2 up, lines.

Here you can see that I started the shades. You can also see that I'm totally incompetent and somehow on the middle mountain shade is on the right, which indicates that light is from the left. But i at the same time, somehow the same exact mountain casts a shadow on the left one... that should be completely lighted. As you can see, lightning and shades are like shapes at the start, make random ones and then decide which one to keep.

Now it makes more sense, right? Wrong! Mountains on the bright side are darker than on the dark side.

Here I fixed that and added a little second layer to the river.

Final piece. As always, it's awful and I hate it. But it's the part of my journey and I cherish every step on it. You also should! I believe in you and good luck on your one!
