#30 To reach the sky

#30 To reach the sky

Yea, I took my time.

So many things happened, so many thoughts have crossed my mind.

The very first thing I have to share is... that I did it. My present was not only seen, but liked and EVEN USED. To be honest, when I saw that, I almost passed out. I could not believe it. All of my work, gave fruits.

But it flipped some switch in me. "What the hell am I doing?" I asked myself. Objectively, I was just placing colorful squares in sequences to trick someone's brain into imagining some pattern that resembles a real life object.

But, on the other hand, I was happy. Insanely happy. No success (even if much greater) in my life till this point made me enjoy myself so much.

Why?

I think, that's because it was my goal. I choose this patch, I knew why I was doing it and I believe it was good (not in terms of quality, more like "good" for the world). I will leave you with this. When we do something for ourselves and others, it's much more valuable.

That was the nice part. But after that, I started questioning myself. Shouldn't it change something? Shouldn't I get a giant energy boost, start working on a new even grater pixel every day?

Well, I did not. As you can see. Paradoxically, it learned me to not expect from myself. Just do you. Do your best, and when you can push even more. But you don't have to think that every minute you are not working is waisted.

I tried pixeling 3 different times this week. Every time I was afraid that my next work will not be as good as the last one. But does not have to be. You learn, try and learn, not climb a mountain on a set path.

So I searched random pokemon generator, rolled, and ended up with the Snom. "But Citrus, the thing on the art in nowhere near Snom" I hear you say. Yes, I changed it, let me finish my own post ok?!?!

This part gave me high hopes, it looked cute.

But, here the troubles started. I discovered how hard the ice is to draw. I always had trouble with slimy or glassy materials. I think I need the whole art (or even multiple) to practice it.

This is the point I gave up. But I will come back! Stronger!

So, I used my own advice, and started improvising.

Little cute larvae.

I felt like leaving it on the empty space would be not cool from my side. So I added a little leaf.

Some shading and grass in the background. At this point, I knew I don't to put too much work into it, so it's silly and simple.

Thank you for reading! And do your best!
